BillingPhilosophyFlynn Wright & Fredman provides its clients with high quality, cost-effective legal services. By high quality, we mean the application to our clients' needs of substantive knowledge and judgmental skills developed over many years of training and experience, coupled with strict adherence to the ethical rules governing the legal profession. By cost-effective, we mean that the client's investment in legal services will, when viewed from the client's perspective, be seen as appropriate for the circumstances presented -- and that our services will have been efficiently rendered. Billable TimeOur charges for legal services will generally be based on the time devoted to a matter. Each attorney and paralegal is assigned a billing rate reflecting that person's training and experience. "Billable" time is time spent working exclusively on client business. Since some time turns out to be more (or less) valuable to the client than other time, we regularly make subjective adjustments to our billings to reflect these variations in the value of time. (Indeed, the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct require attorneys to consider more than a dozen factors -- time being only one of them -- when establishing a fee for services.) ExpensesExcept in unusual circumstances, we will not charge for incidental expenses such as facsimile transmissions, photocopies or long distance telephone charges. We pass on to our clients our expenses incurred for travel, title examination services, package delivery, electronic research, official fees, transcripts, expert witnesses and the like. Charges of this nature are not, as in some firms, "marked up" to generate additional revenue. PaymentsOur statements are submitted to clients on a monthly basis, and we
anticipate payment within thirty days. Since prompt payment from clients
is important to our efforts to keep down our costs of doing business, we
may impose a late charge equal to 1.5% per month on amounts past due. For more information, please contact us at 719.578.8444 This web site is designed for general information only.
